Welcome back to the Club! Following the release of Volume 1 the Tikka massive travelled the clubs around the country to meet fresh people and dig the sound of original funk, soul & disco & breaks. Now we have Volume 2, which not only includes the tracks from our cherished series of limited edition 7“ vinyls, but also a couple of smart pieces from fast rising independent artists like Soul Sugar and Glam Sam. And of course there is a selection from label favourites like Jalapeno, One Note, Pulver and 20/20 Vision. Be young, be foolish, be funky!

Mellow – DJ, compiler of Club Tikka and active in running the Lounge Records, Légère Recordings & MUTO label group since 1996 – checked out 16 tracks covering a variety of styles, also including some exclusives and upfront remixes. Apart from own signings like Torpedo Boyz, JetTricks and Mr. Confuse with tracks from their recent releases there are Seductive Souls with a cool remix by French disco & soul merchants Patchworks of their cover version of Brick’s disco jazz classic „Dazz“ which is going to be released on 12“ vinyl soon.

Then we have a bunch of goodies from the beloved One Note Records label run by The New Mastersounds (The Three Deuces, Papadub, Eddie Roberts and The Inmates), who are also present wiith „King Comforter“ featuring the vocals of Baby Charles singer Dionne Charles and their rare remix of Soldiers Of Twilights’ „Believe“ from Scotland’s 20/20 Vision label.

Not to forget Smoove’s soul stormer „I Can’t Give You Up“ which is fetching mad mod prices on Ebay for the original 7“ MUTO release. And you will hear the as yet unreleased tracks by Swedish Coolsville styler Glam Sam & His Combo („The Dude“) and Soul Sugar from France („Nothing But The Truth“) produced by the mighty Kid Loco !
