In the musical world of PETE RIVERA soul, latin, house and a comforting, relaxing atmosphere happily live next to each other. It’s place where turntable and mixing desk are the rhythm of everyday life and where a club is more than a functional location with a heavy bass system and an unapproachable bouncer. PETE RIVERA is a lively ambassador in the service of timeless music for people for whom age means nothing but a mere number: FOR ADULTS ONLY!

PETE RIVERA also is the mastermind of studio collective RIVERA ROTATION and was born in the south of Germany. Growing up in Ulm he was infected by seventies soul and the sound the American Forces Network radio station AFN from his early teens. Since 1985 he is a DJ in his own right playing a variety of styles from latin to house. Being a full-time Hamburg resident since 1988 and managing director as well musical advisor of everything which happens in and around Lounge club, he organized events with KRUDER & DORFMEISTER, NICOLETTE, JIMI TENOR , DZIHAN & KAMIEN, AIM, MYSTIC BREW (J-WALK), TRUST IN WAX, MAXWELL IMPLOSION, LE HAMMOND INFERNO among many others establishing Lounge club as one of the most successful and stylish hang-outs in Hamburg for - and that’s for quite a few years now!

Following LATINICA WITCH and ON THE BEACH, both entered the top 20 of the German dance charts (DCC, plus YES YOU ARE ... , RIVERA ROTATION just released fourth single DEDICADO. Involving a healthy dose of sunshine, DEDICADO links european cool with brazilian heat. Conceived as a team with sound and studio wizard Elmar Schubert a.k.a. MINERAL MUSIC (check his moving and grooving rework on the ROTATION’s last 12“ output YES YOU ARE ...) DEDICADO features the voice of mysterious portuguese visual artist and sculptor OMEGA. Kicking off this vinyl release in and up-to-date style is the timbales and Sherman-crazy rework from Munich’s finest FAUNA FLASH. And of course there the exclusive tracks PETE RIVERA recorded with VINCENZO (NIGHT CRUISIN’) or JÖRN ERKAU and SVEN WAJE (SUNDOWNER) for compilation releases worldwide.

PETE RIVERA is also the compiler of the renowned MUSIC FOR MODERN LIVING series which he conceives together with fellow label-owner MELLOW and plays out in like-minded clubs all over his home country of Germany.
